As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local taxes levied to the country you are shipping to; payment of these may be necessary to release you order from customs on arrival. Batu will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. We advise that you are familiar with your package destination's import duty, customs and local sales taxes as well as it's rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products.
We ship our orders from our office in Australia using Australia Post. All orders will be shipped within 48 business hours of receiving order confirmation. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation and unique tracking number to track the delivery of your goods.
When filling out your shipping details, please be sure to enter a valid email address and contact number.
Please make sure you have read our sizing guide carefully before ordering. We do offer a refund within seven days of delivery.
We only refund or exchange if the product HAS NOT BEEN WORN. Any product sent back that has been worn will be shipped back to the customer and no refund provided.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER EXCHANGE OR REFUND FOR SHOES DEEMED TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE. Leather can take some time to soften and wear in. Everyone's feet are different and while our shoes have been tested to ensure they are comfortable and don't rub, we cannot guarantee this will be the same for you.

You will need to send back your original order within SEVEN DAYS via a tracked postage method. Once we have received your return package in its original condition, we will then issue you an exchange or refund.
Please note, we do not reimburse customer shipping costs for size exchanges or refunds.
In the highly unlikely event of faulty merchandise, we will require the item is posted back for assessment. If deemed faulty, we will offer a REPAIR or REPLACEMENT first, or refund if no replacement is available - and also reimburse the cost of your postage. We believe in fair working conditions for our shoemakers, and hell, it takes a lot of them to craft a single pair! Made by hand, each pair of shoes take our craftsmen 2-3 days to cut, dry, weave, bend, hammer and sew.
We’re mad about fashion, but our standards are as high as our heels.
Quality leather combined with custom-made accessories equals products that outlive trends. Our designs are made to last, utilising the highest grade of components hand-picked hides, Indonesian mahogany and German fixatives.
We may make a lotta mules, but not at the cost of the animals they come from...
We’re here for a good time, not a horrible time, so we do our best to be as ethical a leather brand as possible. Our beautiful hides come from Java and are a bi-product of the meat industry that supply to the villages there.
We ain’t into buzz words, but we do like things ‘slow’.
Quality takes time, and we’re proud of our customers for embracing the movement with us. Our leather is hand-picked by our head designer before being painstakingly cut by a single artisan. Simultaneously, our signature wooden heels are lovingly hand cut and kiln dried.

STORE THEM IN THEIR DUSTBAGS Yep, there’s a reason we pop ‘em in the box (face palm). Keep your leather footwear fresh and free from contaminants by storing them in their dust bags.
SKINCARE (Because it's leather, after all) Every three to six months, get that brand spankin’ new shoe feeling by cleaning and protecting your leather footwear.

WET DAY TIMETABLE Wise up to water damage. If your leather shoes get wet (shiz happens), make sure they’re sufficiently dry before you wear them again. Allow them to dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or direct heat, with soles facing upwards.
JUMP ABOARD THE RESOLE TRAIN Wearing your shoes for too long on a diminished sole can cause lasting damage to leather footwear – eek. While there’s no set rule for how regularly you need to resole your shoes, the following are signs it’s time to call your cobbler: • Water damage • Sole splitting (when the shoe peels away from the sole) • Uneven sole wearing (everyone’s walk and stride is different)
