#StayAtHome Series: WFH With Lottie Hall

"Adapt adapt adapt! Stay current and have a voice. Reach out and talk to your customer and let them know you are more than just a product..."

We had a socially distant chat with one of our favourite Aussie designers' about life in lockdown. If you don't recognise Lottie's iconic pieces, famous for her hand-drawn prints and beach vibes, then prepare to fall in love. They are wearable art, made in small runs with quality materials (her Shells, Literally dress has been my go-to dress for months now and still looks brand new).

After studying fashion Design at RMIT and garnering experience assisting, and then Head Designing for some of Australia's most exciting labels, she set out to start her own personal brand.

Multiple collections later, with international stockists, from producing and living in Bali and now residing in Byron bay with a small family of her own... the brand currently works as a transeasonal print based brand, exclusively online and with a few favourite stockists, whilst she happily juggles it all plus her kids wear brand young and restless with her partner.

How's Iso life going? What's a typical day look like for you?

Iso life is ok! We are getting in to the swing of it, I’m lucky I adore my family and we live near the beach so we can have space if we need.

A day is...with my two kiddies, waking up, feeding them, COFFEE and then honestly just a whole lot of juggling work and kids. I write a list of things to do so if I’m constantly being interrupted (which is exactly what happens) I can still feel organised. We often get to the beach in the afternoon these Iso days once they seem a little crazy (and me too), or I’ll go for a walk and Jock (baby daddy) will cook dinner. Put the kids to bed and then some hang time with Jock, watching a show, hanging out listening to music etc.

Has the lockdown affected your business?

Yes and no, I’ve been lucky to have had new styles arrive and continue to arrive in the next few months so I feel my customer is still buying. It’s made me work a little harder to adapt with what’s happening on social media etc but otherwise it’s actually travelling along as usual.

What's your go to WFH uniform?

I seriously am wearing a lot of the new styles coming out as I genuinely love them! I designed them as they are what I want to wear, they will just be paired with something simple like denim or a rib tank at the moment.

I’m loving the Baby Verona set, the Tattoo Blouse and the Ging-Home top.

Favourite shows/movies/books to binge?

I unashamedly love serious trash after a long busy day.

I have a HAYU subscription so the new Made in Chelsea, Real House Wives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules. They are such a guilty pleasure.
